The show tonight in Tarrytown, NY was worth the wait, even though it was 50 years!!!!! The show was not long enough! I could have sat through 24 hours of it. Memories of the Ed Sullivan show, being 10 years old, [03/25/1954], and to live 1964 again.
Mike's guitar masterpiece on 'Every Time You Walk In The Room' bought tears of joy to me. The guitar work in that song was what the British Invasion was all about.
After the show he signed 2 albums for me and the poster being sold at the show and I shook his hand and told him I would be e-mailing you tonight. With that, he looked at me and said, you're Peter! What an early birthday present that was.
I thank you and Mike!!! God bless you, Peter Gorman.

Roger has told us [See Latest News page] that Mike will be singing an original Searchers' album track on the forthcoming tour and given us a clue. I have an idea but not sure, anyone else worked it out?

Dear Roger
I would like to buy Mike's book "The Search For Myself" please. I am nearing 64 years-old and have followed and thoroughly enjoyed The Searchers from day one and continued when it became Mike Pender's Searchers.
I didn't get to meet Mike until about 20 years ago when he came to my home town of Wisbech, to the Empire Theatre. My regret was that i didn't get photo of him. Since then I've gone to shows at the Corn Exchage, Kings Lynn, Norfolk and surrounding areas to see Mike. He has always been front and main man of any of the shows. He is the best of the 60s' era with his personality and good looks. He gets the audiences going as soon as he is announced to come on stage and after the shows it's electric.
I have waited for something like this book to come out as there are two sides to every story.
25 years ago I went to see the Searchers with Frank Allen & Co but tell people that Mike Pender is, and always will be, "The Searchers" and I have, and will not, go to any shows where they are!
I hope Mike does well in this year's Personality of the Year in The Beat as I have, and will continue to receive the book for the last 15 years or more. Sorry to go on, but Mike is the best and has stayed in England not like some of the 60s' artists that go abroad.
Yours sincerely
Colleen

Hi Mike,
I have been a loyal fan since the 60's have of the Searchers material and then some++++++ I have been communicating with Sylvia off and on. I am trying to locate the chords to your 'Goodnight Baby' tune that she mentioned to you before. Hoping to see you at the Wilbur in Boston next month but between chronic lower back just not sure.
If I can get there it would be a real honor to meet you.
Not trying to pester you about 'Goodnight Baby' but you what it's like when you get a song in your head!!!!! it's driving me nuts and my right ear was blown out long ago which doesn't help. I have sent an mp3 of your Goodnight Baby if it helps.
Warmest regards.
Chuck

Hello Mike
I have just read your book - a fascinating read putting your side of the story, which was long overdue!
I remember being at The Police Club in Liverpool with Ian Smith in Dec 1985 and you could cut the atmosphere with a knife in the dressing room before the show. We felt rather awkward being there. I still play my recording of that show (straight from the mixer!).
With regard to one of your comments in the book, do you, like me still have your Ian Allan Combined Volume?! Barbara and I look forward to seeing you at the Phil. in April.
Best wishes
Ian Beattie (also in leafy Cheshire)
