When I heard the video of John Wicks onstage with Mike in L.A. in 2014, it occurred to me that John may not have seen it either. I sent him the link and this was his response last night: "This is great, Sheila. Although I remember it well, this is the first time I've seen and listened to the video. I'm a big, big Searchers fan, and especially love Mike Pender, so it was a huge thrill to be up there onstage, next to him, singing! What an honour and a pleasure."

Thankyou so much Mike for the lovely signed photo and for wishing me a Merry Christmas, will treasure it. Met you in Stockton Fiesta club, many years ago. I have your book and it is really marvellous, great photos, I am half way through it and it's so lovely reading all your memories, long may you play your music Mike, you do it so well and you are looking great! x

Having read Mike's book, I've been busy updating my cd collection, frustrated at the good music I'd missed. I've also looked at a lot of videos on YouTube (thank you rcpinsa!) and was moved to put finger to keyboard tonight to comment on a submission for 'Another Night'

"This track is just one example of the phenomenal output from The Searchers Sire Sessions Rockfield recordings 1979-80, which has been a recent revelation for me because the entire body of work missed my ears completely at the time. Word just didn't get out! Imagine if there had been the Internet and social networking in those days and the band hadn't had to rely on the fickle butterflies that go by the name of record companies and DJs. It was all there on the Sire Sessions; great production, intelligent track choices, superb musicianship and the seriously good Mike Pender singing out of his skin!"

I think you should re record "Solitaire" with "Working Man", I like the live tracks too.

I think you should re record "Solitaire" and also "Working Man", totally brilliant performances on the solid Silver 60's show.

Mike ask Waterstones if they want you to do a signing session.

I never thought that one day I would walk into a Waterstones and find my autobiography in the same section as greats like Clapton, Jimmy Page, Hendrix and all the other names that jump out at you!

For all you guys who bought my book I would like to send my sincere thanks for getting it on to the shelves at Waterstones!
