Here are some new clips of Mike, playing at the National Theatre in Richmond, Virginia backed by US musicians, when seemingly he was a last minute substitute for Wayne Fontana, who was deported from the US.... see explanation below, from the poster of the clips, who said he has received kind and positive email comments from the UK.

The YouTube poster said: "Mike Pender had just gotten off the plane from the UK before this concert. I believe Wayne Fontana was supposed to perform, but he refused to give his thumb print at US Customs the day earlier and got his stubborn ass deported. I surmise that Mike was brought in as a last minute substitute.
"He was backed by local musicians and Jon Washington's Fortunes. The programme was recorded for later broadcast on the Public Broadcasting Network. This video was taken with a pocket still camera."
