I would like to convey my heartfelt thanks to everyone who has posted messages on here, both from the UK and faraway places; such lovely people with long memories.

Thank you all for your support over the years, especially for taking the time to come along to the shows and for still enjoying the music, which is still very important in my life, but is not the most important thing, as I count myself blessed to have so many wonderful things in my life.

In saying that, I do look forward to every show and I was very disappointed when I received the call to say the Mathew Street Festival had been cancelled because of high winds and very bad weather. Never mind, there's always another show to look forward to!

I also want to thank everyone who voted for MPS in the poll for Best Group in The Beat magazine, it was much appreciated, and although we didn't win (I never thought we would) it was still nice to be in the top five.

I saw and met Mike last year at the Savoy Hotel Blackpool, it was just as good as the first time I met him many years ago? It was a smashing weekend, and I am dead lucky as he is back on this year in November, looking forward to it.

Check out the new box set and hear how crucially important Mike's brilliant vocals and lead guitar playing was to The Searchers' sound from the very beginning right through to the Sire sessions.

New website is good, but it would be better if Mike provided more input. How about a question and answer section?

Hello Mike. Friends of mine saw you in Hamburg about three months ago and said you were brilliant and wonder if there will be a DVD of the gig because they saw several cameras filming. We all hope so and will keep an eye open for it. In the meantime, can you please come and play at Crewe?

It would be nice to see Mike back at Huntingdon Hall, Worcester. It seems ages since he appeared there. If not could it be arranged to have a Worcestershire venue?
