"With the voice of the original Searchers, Mike Pender MBE, backstage at his final live performance last night at Nottingham Royal Concert Hall on the Sensational 60s Experience tour. It was poignant watching him do hits like "Needles and Pins", "Love Potion No.9" and "When You Walk In The Room" for the very last time after more than 60 years. We in the Fortunes had the privilege of backing Mike on some shows during the tour (when Vanity Fare weren't available) and it was nice working with him and being part of a little bit of musical history. All the best for a well-earned retirement!"
